What’s New Series: DockMaster Web—Full Visibility from Anywhere

Today’s marina teams are mobile by default. Your customers, service jobs, and billing needs don’t wait for you to be at your desk. Managing tasks across the dock, office, and yard requires real-time access, not workarounds.

That’s why cloud marina software is no longer a nice-to-have. It’s essential.

DockMaster Web brings that flexibility to your operation.

Backed by over 40 years of marina software experience, this next-generation platform gives you full access to customer, vessel, and payment data, regardless of location.

DockMaster is flexible, fast, and built to support modern marine operations.

We are beginning our ‘What’s New’ series with this blog. Let’s discuss what’s available now and what’s coming next for remote marina management teams.

What’s DockMaster Web?

DockMaster Web is a cloud-first platform that gives you complete access to your marina’s operations from any location. It works on every browser or device without any download or setup. You can log in from the dock, office, or phone while traveling and find your data synced across your team.

This first release includes core tools for managing customers and vessels. You can update contact details, view service history, or check vessel documents without grappling with scattered records.

For example, if a customer updates their address from the self-service portal, it will appear instantly in their profile and be ready for billing, service requests, or insurance checks. No follow-ups needed. Everyone sees the same information, wherever they are.

These tools are just the foundation of a broader rollout that will continue to expand DockMaster’s cloud capabilities in the months ahead.

Key Features in the First Release

Here are a few essential functions DockMaster Web’s first release has put together for marina operations:

1. Customer & Vessel Management

DockMaster Web brings all customer and vessel records into a secure system. Each profile includes slip or storage assignments, contact information, service history, insurance documents, and outstanding balances—organized and searchable from any device.

For example, if a customer calls about an upcoming haul-out, you can:

  • Open their profile

  • Verify their vessel’s insurance is up to date

  • Review past service jobs

  • Check if the haul-out is scheduled and assigned

If anything needs editing, you can update it on the spot and save the change system-wide using digital vessel management. This eliminates duplicate work, improves department communication, and keeps your team aligned in real time.

2. Self-Service Customer Portal

DockMaster Web includes a dedicated customer portal that gives your clients full control over their accounts without the need to call, email, or visit the marina office. It allows the boaters to:

  • View and pay outstanding invoices

  • Submit service requests

  • Update personal or vessel information

  • Upload documents such as insurance and registration

  • Review past transactions or scheduled services

This remote marina management system reduces overall workload and keeps customer records updated without staff involvement.

For example, it will notify customers if a slip lease approaches its renewal date. They can log in, check their balance, and pay online. Once submitted, DockMaster records the payment and updates lease details.

You experience faster turnaround with fewer errors and deliver a more professional customer experience.

3. CRM Built for Marinas

The web-based marine CRM ensures customers don’t have to repeat themselves, and your team stays informed and responsive, whether handling billing, reservations, or service requests. It’s a connected view of your entire customer base.

Each profile includes:

  • Contact details and preferences

  • Vessel specifications and ownership history

  • Slip or storage assignments

  • Past and upcoming service records

  • Communication logs and staff notes

It tracks and adds time stamps to every interaction. DockMaster Desktop also syncs data to avoid duplication.

For example, if a customer calls to ask about upgrading to a larger slip next season, you can log that interest in their profile using the web-based marine CRM. Months later, when another team member follows up during renewal season, they’ll see that note and continue the conversation seamlessly, without asking the same questions again.

4. Digital Onboarding

DockMaster Web improves customer onboarding by introducing a completely digital and self-guided experience. Your customers can access a secure and customizable form system to complete online registrations, thus eliminating the chaos of printed forms or paperwork.

As soon as the form is submitted, the system:

  • Auto-creates a customer profile

  • Captures vessel details, contact information, and documentation

  • Assigns a slip or storage unit based on availability and vessel specs

  • Sends a confirmation email with next steps or onboarding materials

At the end of this process, your team receives a complete, verified customer record ready for billing, service scheduling, or slip assignments.

For example, a new boater can register from home and add important files like their insurance and registration documents. That way, they will receive their assigned slip before they even arrive at the marina.

5. Desktop Sync

DockMaster Web works seamlessly with DockMaster Desktop, making it easy for teams to operate across both platforms during the transition to the cloud.

Both systems are compatible with real-time, two-way data synchronization. Any updates made in DockMaster Web, such as a payment received, a customer’s contact update, or a new vessel document, instantly reflect in the Desktop environment, and vice versa.

You don't need to re-enter information or manually export data. Even if a team member works offline (due to poor connectivity on the dock or in the yard), DockMaster Web will automatically sync those changes when the connection returns.

For example, if your dock staff uses the web platform to process a slip transfer and your billing team still works on a Desktop, both will see the update immediately. Version conflicts do not disrupt this process.

Why It Matters to Your Operation?

DockMaster Web shifts how your marina runs day to day. Moving key functions to the cloud helps your team respond faster, reduce admin time, and deliver a better overall customer experience.

Here's what that looks like in action:

  • Enable remote marina management so your team can manage tasks from anywhere, without returning to a fixed workstation

  • Reduce paperwork by replacing printed forms, handwritten notes, and manual updates with digital vessel management processes that feed directly into the system

  • Give staff and customers instant visibility into accounts, vessel records, payments, and service activity with the web-based CRM, reducing back-and-forth communication

  • Speed up approvals and scheduling by capturing updates in real time and syncing them across departments, eliminating bottlenecks and delays

  • Improve communication across teams with centralized profiles and time-stamped notes, keeping shift or location details safe

  • Free up your staff’s time to focus on high-value work like customer service, vendor coordination, and on-site operations, instead of compiling scattered paperwork

Looking Ahead: What’s Next for DM Web

DockMaster Web is launching with a focused set of core tools, but this is just the starting point. The platform prioritizes scalability, and new features are already being developed to support more parts of your day-to-day operations.

The next major update will introduce eSignature integration. You can digitally send, sign, and store contracts, service approvals, and customer agreements without printing or emailing documents back and forth. Once signed, each document is saved securely to the customer’s profile for easy access and compliance tracking.

Over time, DockMaster Web will simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, and help teams move faster between the dock, the office, and beyond.

As Jason Lindstrom, Marine Store Manager at Atlantic Boats, shared:

“For businesses still running their operations on pen and paper, they don’t know what they’re missing out on. DockMaster brings so much more ease and efficiency to marina businesses. I still keep paper and notes out of habit, but at the same time I really don’t have to, because 99% of the transactions and correspondence is stored in the software.”

Take Control of Your Operations from Anywhere

With DockMaster Web, your team gains the flexibility to work across locations, the visibility to make decisions faster, and the tools like digital vessel management to keep records updated without chasing paperwork.

Whether you're managing service, handling payments, or onboarding a new customer, everything is accessible, organized, and synced.
